Originally published under the title, "The Amateur Commandos" in 1980. The book recounts the two man unsanctioned mission by Army Dental Corps recruits, Sergeant Peter King and Private Leslie Cuthbertson as they launched an attack on German occupied France in 1942. They wrote a letter to Winston Churchill to let him know they had undertaken a mission to create £50,000 worth of damage and went over to France in a small motorboat from Cornwall. And they lived to tell the tale...with a lot of luck!
